Ambleside Manor is widely appreciated for its beautiful building and convenient location, a short walk to town yet set back in private gardens with ample parking. Guests often highlight the excellent vegetarian breakfast, sometimes served on the covered verandah, and the charming touches like handmade biscuits in the cozy rooms. While some found the rooms a little tight on space, many loved the larger rooms such as Room 4, noting the garden view and private entrance. It's also an ideal base for exploring nearby attractions like Rydal Cave and Cat Bells.

Excellent B&B Experience

great location modern bathroom
The location is convenient. Car parking is a real bonus (it's always good to have a designated spot). Breakfast was delicious and satisfying. I found the rooms to be huge. The bathroom was ultra modern.
All staff finished at 6 pm. This meant no help or service was available, and the reception was closed. There were no staff on site, which I found unusual.

The breakfast offered a good start to the day. There was a variety of options available, including fresh fruit, cereals, and a cooked vegetarian breakfast, all prepared with attention to detail (especially the croissants!).
